Wrentham Hosts Jan. 28 Community Forum on Roderick School Building Project
Wrentham residents will have an opportunity to get an updated look at one of the town’s most closely watched long-term projects when the Wrentham Elementary School Building Committee hosts a Roderick School Building Project Community Forum on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. The forum is focused on updated design plans, revised elevations, and cost considerations connected to the committee’s recommended preferred solution.
The evening will start with an optional tour of the existing Roderick building from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., beginning at the front door. The main presentation runs from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. inside the Roderick Library.
The forum agenda includes introductions, a progress update in the Massachusetts School Building Authority process, a review of the selected option design, a budget update, schedule update, and next steps. Organizers describe the forum as an important part of the ongoing evaluation process, with the committee continuing to review alternative options to address the educational and operational constraints of the current school facility.
This project has been developing over time, and residents have continued to show strong interest because the Roderick building plays a central role in Wrentham’s school system. The committee has stressed that each public forum serves a different purpose and that community input is essential before decisions advance to the next stage.
Town officials and committee members are encouraging residents to attend not only to learn what has changed in the latest design update, but also to ask questions and provide feedback that can help shape future recommendations. The committee has made it clear that the project remains in a stage where the public voice matters, especially as plans become more refined and costs are better defined.
Residents who cannot attend but want to stay informed can follow along through the Roderick School Building Project information page and may also contact the project team directly by email.
As Wrentham continues to evaluate the best long-term solution for its school facilities, the January 28 community forum serves as an important checkpoint — one that brings the project’s latest design, timeline, and cost discussions into the open for the public to review.
