Attleboro Gears Up for Fourth of July Celebrations

Attleboro is getting ready to celebrate Independence Day with a full schedule of family-friendly events that bring the community together in true patriotic spirit.
The excitement kicks off on Wednesday, July 3, with a fireworks display at Hayward Field. Gates open at 5 p.m., and the evening will feature live music, food vendors, and even a magician to entertain the crowd before the fireworks begin around 9 p.m. If it rains, the event will be rescheduled for Saturday, July 19.
The next morning, on July 4, families are invited to the Poncin-Hewitt Recreation Complex for the annual Kidz 4th Fun event, happening from 9 to 11:30 a.m. This festive morning includes races, music, snacks, a bike parade, and even sprinklers to cool off—so kids should definitely bring a swimsuit.
The bike parade starts around 10:15 a.m., followed by classic games and races like the baby crawl, peanut-on-a-spoon race, potato sack race, and even a watermelon roll. Parents and older kids are welcome to join in on the fun, too.
This year marks the return of traditional fireworks after the town tried a laser show in 2024. Organizers say they’re working to raise around $60,000 to cover the costs of safety, entertainment, and the fireworks display itself. Local businesses and community members can support the event through donations or sponsorships.
The city also thanked local sponsors like Willow Tree, FBInsure, and National Grid for helping make the celebration possible.
Everyone is encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy the show—but it's best to leave pets at home to avoid the stress loud fireworks can cause.
With fun-filled activities during the day and a fireworks finale in the evening, Attleboro’s Fourth of July events promise a memorable experience for families, friends, and neighbors of all ages.
